If You'd Like To Know More About Me...I was born in a small house in Evanston, Illinois. In high school, I participated in the sport of gymnastics for a while in the parallel bar event. Soon, I became a friend to some of the athletes on the team who were such colorful characters, I still think of them after many years, and include them from time to time in the stories that I write. In fact, my advice to anyone who wants to begin writing fiction, is to use personalities that they're most familiar with in real life. That way, you have a very good idea of what they would say, given a certain set of circumstances, and nobody needs to know who your character models are, so why not?
Attending the University Of Illinois in Chicago, I began by majoring in commercial art, but after two years, I gradually became more interested in mathematics and other technical fields and switched over to the college of architectural engineering, earning a five year professional degree in the field. After working in Chicago for some years - drawing houses for builders - my wife and I decided to pick up and head for a less congested part of the country with better weather and ended up in beautiful Springfield, Missouri, where I became a Real Estate Broker and attended Ozark Technical College earning certification as a Home Inspector.
My wife and I like to hike in our spare time, and we enjoy getting out into some of the more wide open spaces here as often as we possibly can.
We're here with my two daughters, Natalie and Elizabeth, my three dogs, three cats and two fat bunnies...Wild Bill and Chuck.
